Africa in Music: Was Philly Bongole Lutaaya, Uganda’s Greatest Musician?

By Carlos Mungai – Who is Uganda’s greatest musician? That question has always been Uganda’s most feared question. Every music critic or analyst in Uganda avoids this question. But thanks to advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, Africa Nxt Gen has been able to simulate this question and its potential answers. And the learnings are pointing to Philly Bongole Lutaaya.

Whenever a great musician dies in Uganda, this question arises. It last arose at the passing of Mowzey Radio, a man many in the younger generations believe to be their legend and greatest of all time. Every generation thinks itself greatest when compared to the past.
